The Every Smile Counts! Medical-Dental Learning Collaborative invites you to join our Lunch and Learn Webinar Series. Research shows that adolescents and young adults are at higher risk of opioid use disorder compared to other populations. During this webinar, you will learn about research on the association of opioid prescriptions from dental clinicians for adolescents and young adults with subsequent opioid use and abuse, with a focus on third molar extractions. Participants will gain insights on the common sources of opioids in children and adolescents and recommendations for how medical and dental professionals can work collaboratively to recognize, minimize, and manage opioid misuse and abuse.
