We’re reaching out with an important update regarding Medi‑Cal dental coverage for certain adult members.
The Medi‑Cal Dental benefit changes previously expected to take effect in 2026 have been delayed to July 1, 2027, for certain adult members based on immigration status. This means these members will continue to receive full dental benefits until July 1, 2027.
Because this is an important update, we are asking that partners and providers share this information with community members as soon as possible. It’s critical that members understand they have more time to access their benefits and make use of available dental services. We encourage you to emphasize the importance of using this time to encourage members to schedule a dental visit and complete needed preventive care.
Key message to share with members: You now have 12 more months to use your Medi-Cal dental benefits before changes take effect on July 1, 2027. Use this extra time to schedule a dental visit to maintain your oral health.
