Brush Up on Oral Health Series: New Tip Sheets Available

Head Start staff can use Brush Up on Oral Health tip sheets to support the oral health of children, pregnant women and pregnant people, and families enrolled in their programs. Two new tip sheets have been added to the series that provides up-to-date practices and useful tips to promote good oral health:

Caring for the Oral Health of Children Experiencing Homelessness
Explore the oral health issues faced by children experiencing homelessness and ways Head Start staff can partner with these children’s families to find and use oral health care.

Using Teledentistry to Provide Care for Children
Find basic information about how teledentistry works, using it in public health settings, the benefits of using it in Head Start programs, and tips for getting started. Share the brief with your Health Services Advisory Committee to help them learn more about teledentistry and consider using it in Head Start programs.
