Webinar #1: “Pathways to Improving Children’s Oral Health Using Silver Diamine Fluoride”

Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS)
Advancing Prevention and Reducing Childhood Caries in Medicaid and CHIP Learning Collaborative

The Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) is launching the “Advancing Prevention and Reducing Childhood Caries in Medicaid and CHIP Learning Collaborative” to support state Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) agencies’ efforts to improve children’s oral health. The Learning Collaborative consists of two parts: a webinar series beginning on May 20, 2020 followed by an affinity group for states interested in implementing oral health quality improvement projects. The first webinar will introduce successful approaches for using silver diamine fluoride to arrest dental decay and improve the oral health of Medicaid and CHIP-enrolled children. Presenters will share how two states designed SDF policies and reimbursement strategies.
