Funded by the NIH and many foundations, her research has focused on understanding and reducing adolescent and young adult tobacco use, alcohol and marijuana use. Dr. Halpern-Felsher will share the latest research on how these substances affect teens and adolescents, offer practical harm-reduction strategies, and provide resources to support parents/guardians, educators, and community leaders.
