Veterans face unique challenges when it comes to maintaining oral health, including service-related injuries, limited access to dental care, and higher rates of tobacco use. This presentation will explore the factors contributing to the veterans' oral health crisis and highlight a program actively working to improve care for this underserved population. Attendees will gain valuable insights into trauma-informed care, tobacco cessation strategies, and ways to enhance access to dental services. Additionally, practical tools and techniques will be provided to help dental professionals improve the overall oral health experience for veterans in their daily practice. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with actionable strategies to make a meaningful impact on veterans' oral health outcomes.
