Increased in using teledentistry to reach patients and provide oral health services has increased dramatically as we have entered the time of COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions.  This webinar will describe operational, policy, and advocacy considerations for oral health practices in the current environment and beyond.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

1. Explain how teledentistry can help oral health providers reach patients and provide oral health services during the era of COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions and beyond.
2. List components of a state policy environment that can facilitate the use of teledentistry systems.
3. Describe lessons from the advocacy efforts that have taken place in Virginia to create a policy environment supportive of teledentistry.
