Join CDPH NPAB, ChangeLab Solutions, Mathematica, and UC Berkeley’s Health Research for Action for an introduction to a new suite of resources developed to advance healthy eating and active living through policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change. Developed for state and local health departments and community partners, these resources are designed to support PSE intervention development and implementation. Although these resources were designed with healthy eating and active living interventions in mind, many have applicability across multiple chronic disease prevention topic areas. This launch webinar will introduce these *new* resources with presentations from each organization followed by an opportunity to engage with the presenters in breakout rooms. The resources include:
- 4 Programmatic Priority Toolkits, developed in collaboration with an LHJ Advisory Committee, with step-by-step guidance and practical tools in the areas of
- PSE change in priority settings and at multiple levels (Health Research for Action)
- Healthy beverage interventions (Health Research for Action)
- Putting health equity into practice by engaging communities, building partnerships, gathering data, and organizational practices (developed by UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity, presented by CDPH)
- Reaching and impacting youth, especially in education settings (Health Research for Action)
- Nutrition and Physical Activity Policy Resources that include (ChangeLab Solutions)
- Policy agenda and model local sugar-sweetened beverage distribution tax ordinance
- Case studies of local and state policies
- Resource guides covering topics such as school gardens, active transportation, and healthy procurement
- Written resources, self-paced training modules, and short videos designed to support local health departments and key partners as they work to form, maintain and institutionalize coalitions for healthy community change (Mathematica)
