The final installment of this insightful four-part webinar series from Penn Dental Medicine will delve into the unique and impactful “value proposition” that dental therapists bring to various dental practice settings. This comprehensive session will focus on how dental therapists enhance care delivery and practice dynamics across three distinct practice models: private practices, tribal clinic settings, and large-scale organizations such as dental service organizations (DSOs).
Throughout this webinar, participants will explore how the integration of dental therapists expands the range of services offered, increases access to care, and improves community acceptance of dental practices. Special emphasis will be placed on how dental therapists contribute to practice growth by allowing dentists to allocate more time to complex procedures and high-priority cases, while dental therapists manage routine and preventive care.
Educational objectives:
- Understand the “value proposition” offered by dental therapists in three types of practice settings: private, tribal clinic settings, and DSO;
- Discuss the supervisory relationship between dentists and dental therapists in providing high-quality dental care and the impact on patient outcomes; and
- Evaluate the economic impact of dental therapists, including cost-effectiveness and accessibility of dental care services.
Participants can receive 1.5 CE credits.
