This month's Office Hour brought LOHPs together to discuss updates, successes, and challenges across their programs.

A few highlights from the discussion:

  • LOHPs highlighted recent accomplishments
    • Including community outreach events, KOHA completion, and new partnerships to expand oral health education and services.
  • DHCS Care Coordination Form
    • A few LOHPs shared that they’ve been promoting the DHCS Care Coordination Form, including as a way to help connect people to care when resources are limited.
    • A temporary work around for including a members phone number was discussed. (The care coordination form has now been updated, and a work around is no longer needed).
  • CHW/P/R efforts
    • Butte County is starting to bill Medi-Cal for CHW oral health education.
    • The CHW/P program is one of Stanislaus County's strategies within its larger CHIP.
    • CHW/P/R Workforce Grant: No LOHPs reported plans to apply for this CHW/P/R funding opportunity, but suggested sharing broadly with local CBOs and other partners to consider applying.
  • LOHP Prior Reports Feedback
    • LOHPs can expect feedback from the Office of Oral Health (OOH) on prior reports. LOHPs were encouraged to reach out to their Program Consultant or Rosanna Jackson if they would like prioritized feedback on specific areas to support upcoming deadlines.
