One of the most effective ways to prevent dental problems is by scheduling regular dental check-ups. These appointments go beyond just cleaning your teeth - they allow your dentist to assess your oral health, identify any areas of concern, and provide guidance to maintain a healthy smile.

Smile, California is excited to bring you a new engaging story that underscores the importance of proactive oral health care. Introducing the brand-new fotonovela – "Don’t Wait Until It Hurts to See the Dentist."
 
In this captivating narrative, we invite you to follow the journey of Smile, California's character, Carlos. Through his eyes, we witness a relatable experience that sheds light on the consequences of putting off regular dental care. Having put off his dental check-ups for an extended period, Carlos eventually finds himself facing the discomfort of cavities that developed during this time. This story serves as a reminder of the coverage offered by the Medi-Cal Dental Program for its members and how overlooking routine dental appointments can lead to avoidable discomfort and complications.
