About this Event

This webinar will be live-captioned. It will also be recorded and posted to the Roundtable on Health Literacy webpage.

The goals of this webinar are:

  • To highlight the efforts to increase provider literacy on the safe practice of clinical dental care in the era of COVID-19 through a collaboration between the California State Department of Public Health and California Dental Association.
  • Explore the implications of CDC and other regulatory bodies’ recommendations on oral health care delivery.
  • To highlight the use of health literacy principles to develop clear and concise resources for providers, such as toolkits, infographics, and checklists that are end-user tested and easy to navigate on a website, in order to re-open dental practice.
  • To highlight the development of customizable communication tools to inform patients on what to expect when going back to the dentist.
