How much would the removal of water fluoridation cost your state?

Fluoridated water, a safe and effective public health measure to prevent tooth decay, is facing policy challenges at the federal and state levels. In response, HPI researchers have estimated the cost of removing fluoride from community water systems for the U.S. population, an analysis built upon a recent JAMA Health Forum article estimating the cost of removing fluoride for children. 

HPI estimates that removing fluoride from U.S. community water systems would cost $46 billion over five years. Cost breakdowns are available at the state level and for children, adults and seniors.
